– All but the most wide tablets like a Linux 8″ ToughTab will not fit (I have measured the cradle and it is good for roughly up to 1.9cm).
The stand allows for security and a degree of mobility
– the cradle can be bolted to a surface, the tablet is secured with a back plate that has a classic security slot that allows you to fit a cable lock. This cable needs to be secured to an anchor point, but will allow the tablet to be lifted from the cradle whilst remaining secure.
The security back plate is semi permanent
– It is very hard to take off, which is also a good thing as this is a security product, but it also means you need to pay attention when you install (somewhere in the middle is a good bet)
– the back plates can be replaced, so if you need to upgrade your tablet you don’t need to change your security solution.
